梅の花模様をあしらって、おめでたい雰囲気に仕上げました。
二点並べて、午の仲良し夫婦のように。
起き上がりこぼしにもなっているので、縁起が良いお午さんです。
◆制作について
オリジナルの型を使い、張り子の技法で丁寧に和紙を貼り重ねて仕上げました。
中は空洞で、重りが入っているため、押しても起き上がる「おきあがりこぼし」になっています。
和紙ならではの風合いや、手仕事の温かみを大切に制作しています。
作品を眺めたり、手に取ったりしたときに、ほっと癒やされたり和むような存在になれたらと思います。
大きさは手のひらにおさまるくらいのサイズです。
机や棚の上などお気に入りの場所に飾ったり、ころころと転がして遊んでみたりしてください。

This is a papier-mâché doll of next year's zodiac sign, the Horse.
Adorned with plum blossom patterns, it has an auspicious feel.
It also functions as a self-righting doll, making it a very lucky Horse.
◆About the Craft
Using an original mold, it's meticulously crafted using the papier-mâché technique, with layers of Japanese paper carefully applied.
Hollow inside with a weight, it functions as a self-righting doll that stands back up when pushed.
I place great importance on the unique texture of Japanese paper and the warmth of handcrafted work.
I hope these pieces become a source of comfort and relaxation when you gaze upon them or hold them in your hands.
It's small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.
